Description
Give your full-size Toyota the clearance and confidence it deserves. The 74Weld NGA Portal Axle Kit raises your axles—not just the chassis—delivering real underbody clearance, a 1.22:1 hub reduction (22%), and an approx. 3.88" lift from the axle centerline. Run 35–37" tires with far less driveline strain while preserving factory-like ride quality, steering feel, and CV angles.
Unlike conventional lifts that force suspension geometry out of spec, portals keep arms and tie rods flatter at ride height. That’s why Ultra4 and desert racers trust 74Weld: you gain clearance where it matters most—under diffs, arms, and steering—while multiplying torque at the hubs.
Why 74Weld portals on a Sequoia
-
True ground clearance: Raising the axle centerline protects vulnerable components over rocks, ruts, and ledges.
-
22% torque multiplication at the hub: Offsets larger tire diameter, often reducing the need to re-gear axles and easing load on drivetrain components.
-
Keep OEM manners: Flatter control-arm and tie-rod angles help maintain comfortable on-road behavior for family trips and long tows.
-
Race-bred construction: Billet 7075 knuckles with steel inserts and billet 6061 portal boxes—precision-machined for strength and longevity in a full-size SUV application.
-
Brakes & ABS friendly: Dedicated front and rear rotors with factory ABS compatibility for predictable, confident braking.
-
Stability built-in: +2.75" per side (≈ +5.5" overall) track width improves stability and scrub characteristics while retaining stock suspension components.

Wheel & tire guidance
-
35–37" tires are commonly achievable with portals; final fitment depends on wheel specs, bumpers, alignment, and trimming.
-
Confirm rotor/caliper clearance and choose offset/backspacing that accounts for the +2.75" per side increase. We can spec a proven wheel package for the Sequoia.

FAQs
Do I still need to re-gear?
Often no. The 22% hub reduction offsets the effective ratio change from larger tires, letting many owners run 35–37" without opening the diffs. Your load, terrain, and tire size ultimately decide.
How are portals different from a suspension lift?
Suspension lifts raise the chassis but keep axles at the same height, which can worsen CV/steering angles. Portals raise the axles themselves, giving real clearance under diffs/arms while keeping geometry near stock.
Will ABS and traction systems still work?
Yes—the kit is factory ABS compatible. Verify system operation post-install; initialization/recalibration may be recommended.
