The Toyota portal brings our race-proven technology to the mass market. This 4 gear portal design borrows from our race-winning Ultra4 and Trophy Truck portals and scales things down to package perfectly on the Tacoma, Tundra, or Land Cruiser vehicle. With these portals you are able to re-gear, lift, improve ground clearance, and provide room for larger tires on your Toyota, all with a single product. This is a 100% bolt on product that is fully compatible with the factory ABS system. This portal runs the same gear set and bearing package used in our proven Jeep platform that handles V8’s and 40’s.
The Gen 2 Toyota NGA Portal allows you to build an extreme off road capable vehicle while still retaining the comfort and ride quality of the OEM suspension. Our 4 gear design provides a 22% reduction at the hub which allows you to run a bigger tire without the extra stress on drivetrain components. This means you run a 35-37” tire without having to regear axles, and without putting more stress on your factory front CV axles. The portal is your lift, the portal is your re-gear, and unlike conventional kits, it gives you ground clearance. A portal lift is widely recognized as the absolute best solution for an independent suspension system. It is why so many Ultra4 and Trophy Truck racers run our Race Portals. The portal allows you to keep your arms, steering, and CV’s flat at ride height yet still gain huge improvements in ground clearance. Stop lifting your suspension and start lifting your axles.

Fitment notes & wheel/tire guidance:
- 35–37" tires are commonly achievable with portals; exact fit depends on wheel specs, alignment, bumpers, and trimming.
- Verify wheel diameter and caliper/rotor clearance; confirm offset/backspacing to account for the +2.75" per side increase.
- Professional alignment is required after installation.
- Speedometer, ADAS, and TPMS functionality should be verified after setup; recalibration may be recommended.

FAQs
Do I still need to regear my axles?
Often no. The 22% hub reduction compensates for the bigger tire’s effective gearing change, letting many owners run 35–37" tires without opening the diffs. Your use case (load, terrain, tire size) ultimately determines final gearing needs.
How is a portal lift different from a suspension lift?
Suspension lifts raise the chassis but keep the axles at the same height, which can worsen CV angles and steering geometry. Portals raise the axles themselves, improving clearance under the most vulnerable components while keeping geometry close to stock.
Will this affect ABS or traction systems?
The kit is factory ABS compatible. Always verify system operation after installation and calibration.
What wheels should I run?
Choose wheels that clear the portal brakes and suit the +2.75" per side track increase. Offset/backspacing and caliper clearance must be confirmed—contact us and we’ll spec a proven combo.
Can R4T install this for me?
Yes. We offer full turn-key installation, alignment, and post-install shake-down. Call 303-909-6047 to book.
